Cotswolds and Stratford Upon Avon
« on: December 28, 2011, 02:45:57 pm »
I had a nice break over Christmas and had trips to the Cotswolds, visiting Bourton in the Water and Broadway and another day was spent in Stratford Upon Avon.
Broadway is a beautiful village with some nice Hotels there including the Lygon Arms. Quite expensive to stay in that hotel, but it's one that Yorkie likes.

Yes Bri, it's the Royal Shakespeare Theatre that is alongside the River Avon.

Great minds think alike Bri, There are lots to see in the town and the trip on the river is well worth it too.  Next time I'm there I'll pop into Carluccio's by the Marina, it looked nice when I walked past but unfortunately I was on my way back to the coach.

In the past we have been on the boat past the Theatre and when you come to a fork in the river you can see a great apartment block on the right.
If only my lottery numbers would come up!         ;D

It was good to see your photos Hugo and great that you had a nice Christmas break in the Cotswolds.
We have been there for New Year to attend a wedding.
Here are two photos. The first one is the church in Lower Slaughter and the second one is Burford.

Thanks Hollins,  I've only had day trips into the Cotswolds but really enjoyed the area and would like to spend more time there so perhaps we'll go independantly next time.
Hope the Wedding went well and that you enjoyed the time there.
