I'll kick things off with...

Forgotten New York
http://www.forgotten-ny.com/

A photographic delve back into the history of New York. This section:
http://www.forgotten-ny.com/YOU%27D%20NEVER%20BELIEVE/You%27d%20Never%20Believe%20homepage/believe.html
..is particularly interesting, as it covers oddities that you would not expect to find in the middle of one of the world's biggest cities, like a waterfall in the Bronx.

Last time I was in the Bronx was 1988 - a lot has changed since then, especially the South Bronx area.

This is one of my favorite sites - news, photos and discussions on skyscrapers, skylines, cities, architecture and urbanity from around the world

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/

It also has UK forums.

For sheer daftness, it's hard to beat this site:

It looked pretty grim back then. Just had a StreetView wander around the Bronx and it's looking much better these days.

Any chance that these last two could have their own headings? Confusing to find them under USA.
Thought my Geography had gone haywire ! :-\

I used to live near Barbiroli in the Tudno Ward - "One of the most deprived Wards in Wales" - I'm beginning to think it's also one of the most depraved Wards in Wales.  8)

Isn't that the way the Queen pronounces it?   _))*
