I agree that parking is a problem for residents living within the walls its a nightmare on our street, I also agree that a "residents parking scheme (RPS) " would be a good idea. What I object to is the fact we will be charged £80 for the privilege of parking outside our own houses. Will local businesses have to park their cars in council car parks then? I wonder how much the fee is for 8 hours a day? People just popping to the shops will also have to use council car parks then I take it too? Then of course we'll have more Traffic Wardens patrolling the streets to ensure no one flouts the rules and those who do will be fined, It seems to me the only benefit from the proposed plans will be the financial benefit gained by the Council. :rage: :rage:
There is only two questions really the report needs to answer.
1: Is there a need for a RPS in Conwy..................Yes
2: Should residents have to pay for the permit..................No they bloody shouldn't!!!
