mind you seing the overgrown mess on the skip ccbc should be ashamed .

It's certainly a weird look. At one end you have an industrial skip. At the other you have sub-suburban wood-panel fence chic, plus the wildly overgrown patio aesthetic. No wonder the architects are proud.

I can picture the first meeting between council and architects. CCBC: "We don't really want all that stylish glass and curved roof of the competition entry. What we want is an architectural expression of our passive-aggressive resentment towards the people of Colwyn Bay, who we're nominally supposed to serve and represent."

I've always wondered what 'passive-aggressive' means.

I concluded that it's just a way of people undermining and belittling what you have to say, when they don't really have a logical or valid argument against you.

I guess it ("passive-aggressive") is the kind of term that's often overused, or misused, against individuals, as Fester notes.

I find it fits those in positions of relative power who take out their frustrations on others in various indirect ways.  :)

I see a supposedly 'cash strapped' CCBC have not only spent millions to buy an office building in Coed Pella Road, Colwyn Bay, but are now intending to demolish the building and build a brand new one for themselves on the site, at a cost of many millions more!

The skip is far to dangerous to be in!

 yes, but still two black eyes, painful nose and top lip, sore wound on the inside of bottom lip and both shins bruised just below the knees at the same height as the concrete blocks! Otherwise fine!  $good$

The due date for a reply to my FoI request regarding the Skip expired yesterday.   As usual the Council use every tactic they can to prevent information being disseminated. No reply received from them saying they would not reply or any reason, legal or otherwise, as to why they could not perform.

It seems that, as usual, I will have to put a Complaint to the Information Commissioner and let the taxpayer pick up the bill.

Taking advantage of the lovely hot weather we are currently having, my wife and I had our evening meal on our balcony which overlooks the sea.  Watching the boats coming and going while eating and drinking red wine was a idyllic and a bonus was to listen to Tom Jones and co singing in Eirias Park.   We stayed on the balcony until Tom finished his act at about 10.00pm. and will now be looking forward to listening to Jessie J singing tonight.       $good$
