Looks good, haven't been since I was a kid. How much it is to get in now?

What did they do with the venom?

Somehow make it into serum, I expect health and safety would not allow this to happen now as in the film! No glass screen, nothing!

"Furthermore, he said that back in the 60's, many snakes had escaped, the descendants of which are seen quite often these days in the area surrounding the zoo! "

I think that there was just one Italian snake that escaped but she was pregnant at the time. The snake was a live bearing snake and had the young in the woods where you can find some of them today.   Thankfully the snake was not a poisonous type!

Oh Fester, thinking the zoo was a bargain basement sort of place. North Wales Tourism are an organisation determined to stamp out this impression that some people may have of any tourist attraction.
The very long standing Chairman is about to retire after many, many years. He happens to be a Mr Jackson, owner of the zoo.

Looks good, haven't been since I was a kid. How much it is to get in now?

Admission was £10.95 per adult, but there are concessions of £2.00 reduction for pensioners, and £4 off for under 16's.

I baulked at the price at first, because I thought it was going to be a bit crap!  But in hindsight, it is very good value indeed and I highly recommend a visit.

The reptile house is finished, and that is where I encountered the massive alligator.

I could go on and on about the zoo, but I think it is better that you discover some of the interesting creatures for yourselves.

We had a look at the Colwyn Bay Prom event, worth a look, very cold though!

We both enjoyed free Segway rides! Yes FREE!! I had to encourage Erindoors to have a go and she loved it!

The NWWN says that the Prom event attracted 80,000 people. I realise that is probably a 'guestimate' but it seems a bit over the top to me. How is such a figure arrived at for an event of this type?

Never 80,000 in a month of Sundays!  That's almost a quadrupling of the local population.   Typical exaggeration of the Press probably aided and abetted by local Councillors!   :D

Was the count done by the number of cars that passed by on the A55 and taking a guess that there were 2 people in each car?

You might get close to 80000 using that methadology!

I certainly had no problem getting around and I live in the trap between The Park Hotel and The Marine were there is no escape from traffic if the Promenade and A55 are blocked by 80000 people in 40000cars.

8000 might be a closer figure :o
