You could hear Tom Jones from Colwyn Heights?

Yes Mike, loud and clear.   It was a lovely enjoyable evening and the bottle of wine helped too.   ZXZ

I was looking forward to sitting out tonight and listening to Jessie J but at about 8.00pm the heavens opened and we had to settle for a coffee and watch TV inside  instead.
I felt sorry for those people in the arena who would have got drenched but I hope they still enjoyed the show.

Does anybody know the background to this recent tweet from the comedian, John Martin?

John's resignation will be a great loss to Colwyn Bay Football Club and their supporters.

Sadly, after some soul searching I have stepped down as VP of @ColwynBayFC and walked away from the club. Good luck next season

Nope but he was supposed to play a show with Ricky Tomlinson yesterday and that was cancelled.

Sorry to say, I don't even have a clue who he is or what he does!  Maybe he's just fed up with Colwyn Bay.

The Tomlinson show was cancelled due to 'lack of support' it was advertised and promoted very poorly, maybe this is what irked him

He spent most of the night sat in a chair ranting about Mrs Thatcher, and various political and Union disputes from 30-odd years ago.
It was like like listening to Born to Run arguing with Ian on this Forum..

So we'd better put the Equity ticket application on hold, then?

Anyhow did anybody find out why JM left CBFC? Something about him being treated badly? Shame, nice club with great fans but they do seem to enjoy burning a lot of bridges
