I heard last night the popular Deganwy Prom Day has had to be cancelled this year.

Let's hope it returns next year bigger and better with a brand new prom.

The Police were at the top of King's Drive in Colwyn Bay a little earlier and stopping the traffic going up or down the hill.
Apparently a car had flipped over and was blocking the road and the Police were waiting for a tow truck to come and take it away.   Hope that  no one was seriously injured in the incident

Just heard the planes going over for the Air Show at Llandudno but I couldn't see a thing in the rain and low clouds.  Just hope that Llandudno gets a better view.

Some of the displays were cancelled according to the tannoy I heard, because of the weather where the planes were taking off from. My OH set off with the dog just as some planes were doing acrobatics overhead, but he arrived back completely soaked, so the weather must have followed the planes. Nasty smell of wet dog following me now !! Poor Frizzy, we could have wrung him out.

Domino Pizza will be opening in Station Road, Colwyn Bay,

Thanks for that info. Here's the only thing I could find on it:

A COLWYN Bay shop has been acquired by a world renowned pizza chain. Domino's Ltd have bought the property, located at 12 Station Road, and renovations are expected to be completed on the site by the end of June. More to follow. http://www.northwalespioneer.co.uk/news/134196/domino-s-pizza-chain-to-arrive-in-colwyn-bay.aspx

No 12 Station Road is what used to be the Amber Cafe.

Is that where it will be?

I tried to find it on Google Maps but I could not locate 12 Station Road in Colwyn Bay presumably because it is no longer a through road.

There's been work going on in the old Amber place for a few weeks now but they've whitewashed the windows so you can't see in.  It's a bit disappointing to find it's Domino's as they're currently offering a £1 lunch deal via O2 Priority Moments on Mondays but the offer only runs until 16th June so I doubt they'll be open in time for me to take advantage  :(.

I met a very pleasant you lady in my shop the other day, who has arrived (from Poland I think) to work in Domino's at Colwyn Bay,

She was very clued up, and enthusiastic.
She also told me that the delivery radius includes Llandudno.

Mmmmmmm, that means I can have my New York Cheese Steak pizza........... brought to my door!     $dins$ $dins$

The sex shop in Colwyn Bay has closed down and been replaced by a "vape" shop.

Of course I personally wasn't aware that there was a sex shop in Colwyn Bay, my mate told me about it  ;).

Travelling past the sea defence project/beachproject every week it seems one side is manic like a mining camp the other seems to have stalled. Will it really all be finished and tidied up for the August festivities or have we got the year wrong again?

Here's an update (from the Pioneer) on Domino's opening in Colwyn Bay:

A NEW Domino’s pizza branch is set to create up to 35 jobs in Colwyn Bay.

The international pizza chain announced last week it will open a branch on Station Road in the town centre in time for the summer season.

A Domino’s Pizza Group spokesperson said: “Work has begun on the new store and we’re hopeful to be able to deliver freshly made pizza to the residents of Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Conwy and surrounding areas in the near future.

“Domino’s Pizza takes its role as a responsible neighbour very seriously and our franchisees work very hard to play an active role in the community, not only by delivering great tasting pizza but also by supporting numerous local charities, groups and events.”

It's nice pizza but a bit expensive for what it is. Pizza hut takeaway is better and it's 2 for 1 on Tuesdays!!! Bargain  $good$
